Pantry Staples You’ll Need

Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil until shimmering.
- Lay shrimp in a single layer and cook 1.5–2 minutes per side; remove from pan.
- Lower the heat to medium, and melt butter in the same skillet.
- Add garlic and optional red pepper flakes; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in lemon juice and chicken broth; let simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in lemon zest and chopped parsley.
- Return shrimp to pan, toss in sauce for 1 minute.
- Serve immediately over pasta, with bread, or vegetables.
Notes
Avoid overcooking shrimp; they should be opaque and pink, curled into a loose “C.” Don’t crowd the pan and pat shrimp dry before cooking for best texture. This dish is best fresh; reheating can make shrimp rubbery.
