- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (preferably aged)
For the Marinade
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or low-fat sour cream as an alternative)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Pantry Staples
- Olive oil (for pan-frying)
- Unsalted butter (for the finishing sauce)
- All-purpose flour (for dredging before Parmesan coating)

- Heavy cream (¼ cup, optional, for extra richness)

- Pat off excess marinade and dredge each chicken breast lightly in all-purpose flour.
- Press grated Parmesan onto both sides of each chicken breast that has been floured.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F at the thickest part.
- Rest chicken, tented with foil, for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Marinating is key to achieving both flavor and tenderness. Use a thermometer for juicy results. For extra crunch, add more Parmesan. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat them in the oven or air fryer for optimal texture.
